It looks all original (except maybe the Grover tuners), has a two piece top, and I believe it’s 1980 or earlier. The is one of the early (77-80) Aria SB100 basses and has a 5 ply maple/walnut neck, brass nut and bridge, rosewood fingerboard, Canadian ash body with an oak finish, single MB-1 double coil pickup, volume, tone, 6-position tone selector, active Noise Killer circuit.įully set up in our workshop with a lovely action and great playability. I’m actually looking for some info on this guitar that I just saved from a flea market. It also had the open pickups just like yours. There's a few very tiny dings to the finish on the edges of the body and on the tip of the headstock. That looks exactly like the Aria Pro 2 I bought and owned in 1978. This bass has been looked after very well and exhibits only the smallest signs of wear. It's fairly rare to find these basses with a fretless fingerboard. It's supplied in a non original case and one of the circular tuner gear covers has been replaced. 1980 Aria Pro II SB-1000 fretless in exceptionally good condition.
